Pagoda Singkep as tourist information center at Lingga

Efforts to introduce tourism potential in the Lingga Regency, Riau Islands province, has been proclaimed. Local government has commissioned a Recreation Park Pagoda, located at Bukit Timah, Dabo Singkep, Lingga Regency, as Tourist Information Center.


Tourist Information Center Lingga is expected to provide the best service to the tourists who need information about tourist areas in the Lingga Regency, so that people and tourists from home and abroad will be pleased to come to the Lingga.

Tourist Information Center Lingga is also equipped with supporting facilities including internet access is provided free of charge for visitors who want to surf in cyberspace. According to the plan as well, in this location will be constructed stalls to introduce the creation and Malay cultural trinkets, like batik, typical dishes and snacks Lingga, and various results from the creativity of artists and humanists of the Lingga.

For information, the pagoda is an octagonal building with a conical roof shape and surrounded by ponds. The building was built by Unit Penambangan Timah Singkep (UPTS) as a place of recreation. This building was abandoned many years, but now the government has done remodeling this place. A fairly high art of architecture represents a community-owned luxury Singkep the first time.

Berhala island will be a tourist destination in the Lingga

Fortress Hill Cening in Daik

Dungun Beach in Daik

Dungun beach is located in Teluk Village, North Lingga, Lingga District. And on the Beach Dungun was once found a rare marine animals, in a few years ago. Rare sea creatures were discovered by the local community in the stranded dead on January 13, 2005.


Local people know it's rare sea animals as sea elephants. The entire skeleton of this rare sea animals are collected and then submitted to the Mini Museum Linggam Cahaya.

The foundations of this buildings planned by Sultan Muhammad Syah (1832-1841) and built during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Muzzafar Syah (1832-1857) is planned as a sultan family residence or other sources as a place to store various types of crafts.


The size of Bilik 44 approximately 48X49 feet and the number of rooms are freshly prepared as many as 32 pieces. These rooms couldn’t be finished because Sultan Mahmud Muzzafar Syah was discanded from the throne of Lingga Riau Sultanate on September 23th 1857.

Sultan Mosque in Daik

Daik which was once former center of the kingdom of Riau-Lingga, of course there are many historical relics. One of them is the Sultan Mosque is located in Daik Lingga. This mosque is a relic of the Sultanate of Riau-Lingga, which is still used as a place of worship of Muslims residing in Daik and surrounding areas.



The building of this mosque began around 1801, where the original building made entirely of wood. Then after Penyengat mosque completed, the mosque building was overhauled and rebuilt from concrete. Mosques that were once only able to accommodate 40 person is now able to accommodate up to 400 people.

Pemerintah kabupaten Lingga khususnya Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata setempat terus melakukan berbagai upaya dalam memajukan dan mengembangan pariwisata di negeri berjuluk ”Bunda Tanah Melayu”, terutama pengembangan wisata alam dan budaya.
